Who We Are
A Locally Owned KC Business, Run by the Person Doing the Work
John founded Absolute Tile and Grout after years of working in the tile trade and recognizing a gap in how tile restoration was done in the Kansas City area. Most contractors were set up to replace. The skill and equipment to restore tile properly, and to do it at a price that made sense, was harder to find.
He built the business around the belief that most tile is worth saving. Before a homeowner spends thousands on new tile, someone should take an honest look at whether the existing tile can be cleaned, recolored, or restored. That assessment is always worth having.
John runs the business and is the person KC homeowners deal with. The work reflects that directly.

The Philosophy
Restore Rather Than Replace
Tile is durable. The tile itself rarely fails. What fails is the grout, the sealer, the caulk, or the cleaning approach. In most cases, addressing those things specifically costs a fraction of what a full retile would cost, and the result is tile that looks new.
This is the honest conversation John has with every homeowner who calls. Sometimes tile genuinely does need replacing. When that's true, he'll say so. But in the majority of calls, the tile is restorable, and knowing that before committing to a contractor is worth a phone call.
That question is always free to ask.
